2005 Toyota 4 Runner SR5 V6 RWD

What is a Brief History of the Toyota 4 Runner? When talking about the Toyota 4 Runner for North American production; the starting point goes all the way back to autumn of 1983, when the 1984 Toyota 4Runner was introduced to the American driver. Remember their '80's advertisement, "Oh, what a Feeling, Toyota"? Thirty five years later, the Toyota 4Runner is still being produced, sold and holding impressive resale value, due to the reliability and durability of past 4 Runner, Surf and Hilux SUV models running on roads and dirt paths, worldwide.

What's the Vehicle History of this Toyota 4Runner? This Toyota SUV is a non-smoker unit that has had 2 owners. It was originally titled and registered in Edgewater, MD in June of 2005. The 2nd owner acquired it in December of 2007, when it had 65,000 miles on the odometer. Under the 2nd ownership; this Toyota 4 Runner was registered in Annapolis, MD.

Any Accidents? No. This Toyota 4Runner has an accident-free history based on data provided through the Experian AutoCheck Report.

Has this Toyota 4Runner been inspected and serviced? Yes. All Honda, Acura and Toyota vehicles sold by Accurate Auto Sales are fully serviced and completely prepared for the vehicle's next owner. The vehicle inspection and service items are not the same on every vehicle. We determine the items needed on different models, based on our experience in our own shop, Accurate Automotive. Below is a list and explanation on what service items were performed in preparing this Toyota 4Runner for marketing - Accurate Automotive Work Order 25699, from 08-13-2018 .

We changed the fluids: The engine oil and filter were changed, the automatic transmission fluid was changed, the rear differential fluid was changed, the brake fluid in the master cylinder was changed, and the engine coolant / antifreeze was changed. All new fluids are either genuine Toyota, meet the manufacturer's required specifications or exceed the manufacturer's required specifications.

We installed a new set of NGK spark plugs. The spark plugs that are specified by the manufacturer a regular iron tip type plug - not expensive iridium or platinum plugs. This means that the spark plugs should be replaced every 30,000 miles. Not knowing the last time the plugs were replaced; we installed a new, fresh set of 6 plugs.

We installed a new serpentine drive belt. The serpentine drive belt is one very large belt that drives the alternator, water pump, A/C compressor and power steering pump. All drive belts should be replaced approx. every 8 years. Consumers that have vehicles equipped with timing belts will usually replace the serpentine drive belt at the same time the timing belt is replaced. This 4 runner has a timing chain, instead of a timing belt. Because there is no maintenance interval for replacing a timing chain; many times the serpentine drive belt replacement is over-looked. This Toyota 4 Runner has a fresh, new  Bando Rib-Ace serpentine drive belt.

A fresh, new engine air filter and cabin air filter were installed. The existing filters were not filthy / dirty. This vehicle has been very well maintained and the air filters were simply showing signs of age. The filters were replaced as a maintenance starting point - preparing this vehicle for the next owner.

New replacement front struts and rear shocks were installed. The replacement struts and shocks are KYB brand. KYB is a Japanese company that produces very high quality replacement suspension parts for Asian imports. Our shop, Accurate Automotive has installed KYB products for many years and have always found them to be consistantly high quality and good fitment replacements for the original suspension parts. In recent years - within the past 15 years or so; we have found that the original struts and shocks that are installed during the production of most Honda, Acura and Toyota vehicles - have a service life of around 10 years.

We installed a new set of front brake rotors. Nearly every car we sell gets the front rotors either machined or replaced. This is because of brake vibration / pulsation that is a result of front rotor warpage. Front rotors will warp while driving due to heat build up in stop-and-go traffic and then having road-wash water splashing on them - especially on the passenger front - when driving in the rain. All cars are subject to rotor warpage. For this reason, we simply machine or replace the front brake rotors, depending on how thick the rotor / brake discs are on nearly every vehicle, prior to offering the unit for sale. Obviously, the thicker the brake rotor / disc, the more durable the rotor is against warpage. The front brake rotors on this Toyota 4 Runner are brand new, thick and true. This results in smooth braking with no pulsation or vibration.

We Evacuated and Recharged the A/C System. The A/C system uses R134A refrigerant, which took the place of R12 - commonly referred to a "freon" around 1993 / 1994 year model cars. Proper R134A refrigerant level on newer vehicle A/C systems is a very tight window and MUST BE PROPERLY PERFORMED using a machine. A guy with a hose and a can of refrigerant cannot properly charge an A/C system. With a high quality - industry standard - Robinair A/C machine; we evacuated the refrigerant from the A/C system, ran a 10 minute vacuum on the system, replenished the compressor oil and charged the A/C system to the max. capacity of the correct R134A refrigerant.

We Installed a brand new set of OEM windshield wipers. We highly recommend using OEM or the genuine factory replacement Honda and Toyota wipers where applicable and when available. The OEM blades and inserts are from a Japanese company, NWB. Both front and the rear hatch windshield wipers are brand new replacements.

We installed a brand new battery. "Do you have any battery cables?" Many drivers have had to ask that question and usually in the worst weather conditions or very late at night. No need to worry about this Toyota 4 Runner. A brand new, fresh battery was properly installed and secured,  using the correct battery size.

We installed new lights in the climate control panel. Quality comes down to the details and many times used cars are bought in the daylight. For this reason, neither the buyer and sometimes the seller does not know instrumentation bulbs are burned-out. But then, after the purchase transaction of the vehicle; who has to pay to have them replaced? The 'new owner' does. To our knowledge, all instrumentation bulbs in this Toyota 4 Runner are now working properly.

Come in a see why we are the best place in Nashville and Middle Tennessee to purchase, service, and maintain your Honda, Acura and Toyota vehicles.

NOTE: We respect your time... Because we are an active shop facility, specializing in the repair and service of Honda and Acura automobiles; our service customers must take priority.  We highly recommend and respectfully request that all test drives be scheduled by appointment only, Monday thru Friday within the time frame of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Why Buy from Accurate?

A brief history: In 1997, Accurate Automotive opened as a shop, specializing exclusively in the repair and maintenance of Honda and Acura automobiles. The reason for specializing is because all of the members of the technical staff are former Honda and Acura franchised dealership technicians. In 2004, after moving into their new facility, they expanded their business to include the sales department that specializes in Honda and Acura automobiles.

Now for the reasons:

1. All of their inventory is selected by one of their technicians

* Most off of lease programs with American Honda Financial Co.

2. Most of the inventory is from southern states (FL, GA, TN, NC, SC)

* Avoiding undercarriage corrosion resulting from exposure to road salt and severe winter weather driving.

3. Prior to marketing, inventory units are fully serviced with all components / systems working properly.

4. Finally, all units are meticulously detailed inside and out prior to marketing

  • Vehicle pricing does not include applicable sales tax, registration, or dealer processing fee.
  • A Buyers Order (which shows an out-the-door total) can be requested and obtained, by all potential car buyers, without obligation to purchase.
  • For an accurate Buyers Order, we will need potential buyers full name, address, contact information and the lender (if applicable) that will be financing the vehicle.
